The Yamashita Upper 95 is a squid jig with an innovative design.

It has been designed to be fished from a boat with the Tataki method, adopting a "slightly floating posture". Squids approach their prey from below, so the floating posture makes it easier for them to attack, to catch and hold on to the bait.

The biggest modification was done in the Keimura body (U.V. Body) that usually reflects in the blueish light wavelength. In this Yamashita series, the Neon Bright light wavelength variation is not only blue, but also red and green.

Also Yamashita adopted a slim body design, especially in the area close to the hooks. The Upper 95 is approximately 30% slimmer than conventional squid jigs, near the needles area, providing an additional reason for squids to get hooked upon.

The hooks are Made in Japan and do not come off easily.
