Lithium-Ion Battery Module
What each and every one of us wants is a battery that’s strong all day long, even when its capacity drops below 50%, with a much longer life cycle, that can recharge more times and are environmentally friendlier.
Today, more and more fishing boat owners turn towards Lithium-Ion batteries to allow them to do everything a Lead Acid battery can do, only better and for longer. What each and every one of us wants is a battery that’s strong all day long, even when its capacity drops below 50%, with a much longer life cycle, that can recharge more times and are environmentally friendlier. That’s the Lithium-Ion advantage.
In most cases, Lithium-Ion battery technology is superior to Lead-Acid due to its reliability and efficiency, among others.
- A stronger performance, which will be instantly noticeable
- A longer lifespan, as they offer a radically increased number of charge-discharge cycles. Lithium batteries can perform 2000 cycles without a problem, in comparison to the Lead - Acid ones, which in ideal conditions can achieve 500-1000 cycles. In fact, 300 cycles is a more realistic number. In order for a Lead battery to last the cycles it says two basic rules must always be followed: A) Their operating temperature should not exceed 25 degrees Celsius (as the temperature increases, the lifespan decreases significantly. The corresponding limit on Lithium batteries is 60⁰C B). Its charge must not drop below 50%. Otherwise the number of battery life cycles is significantly reduced.
- Dependability without the hassle of any maintenance
- The knowledge that these batteries are cleaner, healthier, and less prone to leaching
- Lithium-ion boat batteries have a higher voltage output than lead acid batteries. That means when you’re out on the water, you get more trolling motor speed
- They last longer than lead acid and you don’t have to be concerned about getting stuck with a dead battery on the water, especially with little, or no advance warning
- Lithium-ion batteries also weigh much less than lead acid batteries and achieve a huge reduction in physical size
- L-Ion batteries have a lower self-discharge, losing only 10% of their charge per year, in comparison to the 1% that Lead batteries lose daily.
To summarize Lithium batteries perform better and last longer than many lead-acid batteries. They weigh less and take up less room. They can provide a higher percentage of nominal capacity than lead-acid batteries, without shortening their life. They maintain voltage through almost all the discharge cycle. Lithium batteries last up to 10 times longer than their lead acid counterparts and they still provide 80% capacity after 2000 cycles.
Their only drawback is that they have to be charged with a special charger. Although any commercial charger can be used, their longevity and smooth operation require the use of a specialized charger. This battery includes a 10A charger.
If you connect your Electric Anchor to a Lithium-Ion battery, while fishing, then a useful accessory that will continuously feed the lithium battery with current, is a Li-Ion battery charger. The Li-Ion Battery Charger is connected between the Lithium battery and another energy source, which in most cases is a Lead Acid 12V – 36V Battery, or a Solar Panel.
The specific Lithium batteries that we provide are handmade, come with a 1 year warranty and come in a protective suitcase.
- The suitcase comes with a digital display, so you can instantly check the current capacity
- A 63A automatic thermal safety is included
- Electronic control and protection circuit of the battery components. If it reaches the lowest capacity, its operation stops.
- Airtight charging plug is included
- A 10A automatic charger is included which stops the charging process when the battery is full. In the photo you will see a full capacity 24V battery, the charging of which stopped automatically at 29.1 Volts.
Extra features can be added at the customer's discretion:
- In 12V batteries there is the possibility of installing a USB gate outside the suitcase and a 12V car socket for charging electronic devices such as mobile phones, tablets, etc. The extra cost is at €30.
- In 12V batteries there is also the possibility of inserting in the battery a bluetooth electronic board, which records on your mobile phone, the entire voltage history of the battery (Charging - Operation - Discharge). Extra cost is at €50
Lithium-Ion Battery Model 3 (36V – 105 Ah) features smart app conection via Bluetooth with the users phone (Android & iOS) for convenient use and monitor of the battery.
