The Seaspin Mommotti lures in a very short time, have gained the trust and admiration of European anglers.
Mommotti are saltwater jerking minnows that - in a very short time - have gained a great consensus among European fishermen.
Mommotti Slow Sinking
With the SS 115 model, Mommotti family reduces the size and enters in a more specific field. The 115 mm long and 13 gr heavy lure, is a tapered slow sinking model, that differs from other Mommotti for its lip shape, which is visibly longer and rounded.
Thanks to studies carried out on this lip shape, this lure not only manages to maintain its posture against the current, but also works properly until the last stage of retrieval, by performing a very fast rolling motion with clear vibrations. At the same time it responds well to customizations and jerks like its older brothers.
In practice, Seaspin created an in-between lure, that lays between the classical minnow and the long jerk one, all in a format which makes it perfect for light spinning and light trolling, dedicated especially to the Seabass, but also Sea Breams and, broadly speaking, to all small and medium-sized marine predators.
The Seaspin Mommotti 115 SS also stands out for the choice of single hooks (Gàmu1 in the belly and Gamu 1/0 in the tail), which are the best answer to sticking point and the power of unexpected predators.
Mommotti Slow Floating
It is the smallest model of the Mommotti family and its sinuous swimming, differentiates it to the larger sizes. The MMT 115 SF, however, has “an edge over” the other models of the family, thanks to a particular internal construction called DCG: Dynamic Center of Gravity.
With its 115 mm and a weight of 12 gr it is the lightest model in the series, a very "honest" lure for all sea and fresh water predators of small and medium-size, but definitely perfect for seabass.
The DCG is an internal system, which basically allows the Mommotti 115 SF to jerk more than usual. In practice, the DCG internal mobile spheres, which are normally blocked in a very narrow space when the lure is swimming, are free to move in a larger space. As they move backwards during the jerks, they create an unstable movement and the Mommotti makes wider skids.
Action
- Slow Retrieve: Rolling
- Regular Retrieve: Wobbling & Rolling
- Fast Retrieve: Wide Wobbling
- Jerking: to stimulate the fish aggressiveness you may want to give strong jerks with the rod in single, or multiple twiches, so as to force the lure to make large skids. Intersperse jerks with pause and/or variable retrieves.
