The Slash Arcard Flex rod, is a top choice amongst Eging fishing enthusiasts. It is a rod specially designed for cephalopod fishing and Slash has paid attention to the smallest detail, in order to achieve this exemplary performance. To set up the blank of the Arcard Flex, Slash company used high-quality carbon fibers and with the advanced X Cross Grid technology succeeded in creating a flexible rod, ideal for squid fishing, avoiding the tearing of their sensitive tentacles.

Slash uses Fuji K-Series stainless guides to prevent line snags, or wind knots, in high wind conditions. The ceramic material in all the guides is Alconite, except for the top one, in which SiC was used. With this combination Slash has achieved functionality and braid protection, without raising the rods’ cost.

The Cross Wrapping construction method is used in both sections, to create a blank that is flexible, bends progressively and is capable of technical action. The tip is reinforced with Carbon tape, allowing natural movements and easy strikes. The handle design reduces wrist fatigue.

The reel base is of Fuji specifications. The length of the handle has been designed, taking into account the optimal casting, the ease of performing jerks and the balance of the rod when fishing.

The AF-832ML rod is a versatile, low-weight model that can technically work with squid jigs of sizes from 2.0 to 3.5. It is designed to be easy to handle, at a length that can be used by the majority of anglers. It also has the flexibility that characterizes an ML type of Eging rod.

The Arcard Flex series can be used both from the shore and from the boat, with the GTR (Ground Tip Run) technique. In any case, one has to use squid jigs with an external weight. The Slash Eging Arcard Flex rod is mainly intended for fishing from the shore, as its length is not ideal for fishing from a boat. The GTR technique requires parabolic and soft rods. You let the Egi sink near the bottom and then make 5 jerks with your rod to mimic the movement of the natural shrimp.
