Jackson Shallow Swimmer 125 Lure

The Jackson Shallow Swimmer 125 is the key lure to conquer the shallows.

Shallow areas tend to attract large fish, that normally attack smaller fish in the food chain, such as Barracudas. This presents an opportunity to lure them into catching our bait. However, since this lure addresses the shallows, Jackson had to create a lure that is easy to cast and retrieve. In the process Jackson faced many, not so easy to overcome challenges, such as speed and distance.

Upon successful completion of the project, Jackson named the Slow Floating lure, “Shallow Swimmer”. First of all, when fishing in shallow water, casting distance is absolutely necessary, so installing the VG technology, although the Shallow Swimmer is a floating minnow, became a necessity. The Vortex Generator is installed in the lure’s lip, to reduce the influence of Air Vortices that occur around the lip during casting and control body shake. A vortex generator (VG) is an aerodynamic device, consisting of a small vane, usually attached to a lifting surface - such as an aircraft wing - but in this case, it is the lure’s lip. When the body is in motion, relative to the air, the VG creates a vortex which improves the effectiveness of the lip in maintaining the lure’s aerodynamics. This way Jackson achieved a stable flight posture and a long casting distance with the Shallow Swimmer.

Next, the special lip design allows you to firmly catch the current, even in dead slow motions, creating an action that feels like floating underwater.

The flat side design and the shape of a crescent, create a sharp flashing during a Wobbling & Roll action and when combined with the water resistance it meets during retrieve, it creates an appeal that goes beyond its size. You will easily notice that the sides of the Shallow Swimmer are a combination of flat surfaces, intersecting with curves.

The Jackson Shallow Swimmer 125 is rigged with two x #3 treble hooks suitable for catching large fish.
