Carbon Monocoque Grip

The Carbon Monocoque grip, is a carbon-molded grip, that is lightweight with high sensitivity, transferring even the smallest vibration to an angler’s hand. The Carbon Monocoque Grip increases sensitivity by 30% compared to traditional rod handles and utilizes a hollow structure that eliminates unnecessary parts of the rear grip to improve weight reduction and vibration transmission.

Hi-Power X

Hi-Power X construction uses diagonally-wrapped carbon tape to form an array of "X" shapes on the rod blank's outermost layer. Taftec Alpha

Taftec is a unique solid tip that realizes flexibility and delicate bending without reducing the diameter of the tip or its strength. The Taftec tip is used throughout the Shimano rod range where sensitivity is an important requirement of the rods. Taftec Alpha tips, enable rod tips to be made thinner and more sensitive, which is especially useful when finesse fishing. Bites are maximized and fish feel less tension when inhaling the lure, resulting in more hook-ups.

CI4+

CI4+ is a Shimano original material reinforced with Carbon fiber that is lighter and has a higher strength, than conventional resin material. CI4+ is an advanced version of the original CI4 material and 2.5 times more rigid, than its predecessors. While improving lightness and rigidity, reel bodies, rotos and reel seats built with CI4+ are further reduced in size and weight.
