Pregio Jig Bait

The Pregio Jig Bait, is a jig head, with a low center of gravity sinker, which can be ideally combined with fresh, or live bait. This is a rather effective drifting fishing style, developed in the Mediterranean that is actually a version of Trolling with Sinker. The Pregio jig bait is addressing large fish species in the deep bottom.

They are comprised of a lead sinker that glows, one main hook, one assist hook and one ring, to which you connect the main line. They have hydrodynamic shape that allows them to sink quickly to the bottom and carry 3D eyes that certainly make an impact. One hook is solid and placed on the jig and the other is smaller in size, lightweight, loose, tied to an assist line. The reason why the Assist Hook is smaller in size, is simple. It does not affect the weight of the bait and allows the bait to be directly sucked in, regardless of its size. The small hooks have become very popular in Japan and because of their incredible, penetrating capacity, they might catch the fish from everywhere, such as cheeks, lips, etc.

In principle it has many things in common with Tenya fishing, in depths below 50 m. but require light and sensitive equipment (rod, braid, fluorocarbon) to transmit the slightest bite to the tip of your rod.

Use any fresh bait you can get your hands on, such as small squid, or shrimp, or biodegradable silicone baits.

The Pregio Jig Bait is a versatile jig, that has many advantages and can be used in numerous fishing styles, depending on the depth and changes in the current. You can do normal vertical fishing, as well as lateral fishing. Their lighter versions make it an ideal jig for usage in shallow areas. Feel free to decorate them with colorful tinsels and stripes of fresh bait, such as squid tentacles. It is a very popular fishing method for Dentex, Red Snappers and Groupers.
