The BKK Gaff-R is a versatile hook specifically developed for Slow Jigging.

Designed with a wide gap and a short shank, it eases hook penetration even with very light pressure. Its Cutting Delta hook point, further reduces piercing resistance and maintains the hook sharpness at all time, also thanks to the bright tin coating that protects the hook from saltwater corrosion.

The Slip-lock hook shank accommodates the line and secures the knot. A unique forging pattern prevents the fish’s skin from being torn off over long fights, as the forging pressure is applied on a reduced portion of the hook shank, thereby strengthening the hook structure without creating edgy surfaces.

Important Notice: All the BKK hooks that carry the symbol Ultra Antirust (UA) include Hyper Shield coating. Hyper Shield is top layer, plating coating that depending on the concentration of salt, in the water that you are fishing, might turn black, as a result of a chemical reaction called oxidation. This change of color of the plating, is exactly that: a change of color and nothing more. It is not rust, or corrosion. Actually, the plating becomes harder, does not peel off and does not move on to the inner parts of the hook.
