The Inchiku Xica jigs, designed by Portuguese fishing company Barros, have a unique, innovative, vertical movement and do not require a specialized Inchiku rod to make them effective.
The basic way to use this particular Inchiku jig is to simply retrieve it, at a slow and steady pace, after it has reached the bottom. This particular jig works equally well, both on the descent and when actively jigged. Ideally it can be used with Slow Jigging rods. Although it performs well on Long Fall movements, some people combine Slow Pitch, or even Half Pitch retrieves in order to lure the fish.
The Inchiku Xica jigs have a gentle trembling motion and vibrate in the water, as they ascend. The rigged silicone squid, moves realistically due to the current created by the jig. When sinking, the Inchiku Xica jig descends with a rolling movement, i.e. parallel to the bottom and with strong vibrations. The silicone octopus follows vertically during immersion. When the jerks commence however, the Inchiku Xica jumps with its front upwards, just like a startled fish.
The design of the body of the Barros Xica jig gives it a completely natural, smooth and symmetric movement, a characteristic that brings about strikes from aggressive predators. The Barros Xica Inchiku jigs target Dentex, Red Snappers, Groupers and other Mediterranean predators.
The Inchiku Barros Xica jigs can become a powerful weapon in your hands, whether you are fishing with Slow Jigging, or Inchiku rods. Just retrieve at a steady pace and it will attract all kinds of predatory fish.
