MajorCraft Giant Killing 5G Light Jigging Series

The 5G is a new manufacturing method, adopting the "R360 Structure". The carbon fiber orientation is arranged toward all axis directions:

• Straight – Vertical
• Side – Horizontal
• Fade - Diagonal Right
• Draw - Diagonal Left

The arrangement of Carbon fibers in all directions, created an ultra-lightweight blank, that combines power and torque. Unlike the conventional carbon tape reinforcement on the blank’s surface, the blank itself is composed of carbon sheets, laid in the multi-axis directions. It is a blank structure, that can respond to any force applied in a 360 degrees angle, hence it helps the rod’s blank section adopt to the situation. 

For the development of the 5G rods, Major Craft utilized the T1100G carbon sheets by Toray Industries. The T1100G is a nano-level carbon fiber material, that achieves both high strength and high elasticity modulus. It is a latest technology carbon material, used in the field of aerospace or in aircraft applications (such as the tail of planes and floor beams of Boeing 777s), where extreme performance is required. The difference between the T1100G Torayca® material and other composite materials is that when compared (Load vs Strain), they both behave identically until the maximum load, after which the T1100G resin shows a significant increase in energy absorption, offering 13% higher-strength and 10% higher-elasticity.

Light Jigging is a fishing style, that addresses hard fighting fish, which under no circumstances should take the upper hand in a fight. GK5LJ-B64SLJ - This model is recommended for Super Light Jigging, using 20-60g lightweight jigs. Especially if you want to create a delicate presentation, close to the bottom, this model becomes indispensable. Taking advantage of the high sensitivity of the 5G series, it will respond to a high finesse level of fishing, that takes bites with small pitch jerks and falls.

GK5LJ-B64L - Recommended model for jigging, targeting Seabass in shallow areas, using 60 - 100g jigs. It is the rod to use when you want to make a slightly heavy jig, swim like a feather, in the middle layers of the water column.

GK5LJ-B64ML - This model is recommended for jigging, where a jig weighing up to 150g, can be made to swim at a depth of around 50m. This is a technical model, that will allow the angler to sense changes in the currents, and which offers high sensitivity, only found in the 5G rod series. This model addresses jiggers who want to improve their level. The operability of the jig and the high sensitivity blank of the 5G series will not miss even the slightest bite, even when aiming for prey hidden in the bottom.

GK5LJ-B64M – This is the most powerful model in the series, that can handle medium-sized Tunas and Bonitos. Once you taste the real thrill of fighting such a fish, while enjoying the thrill of a powerful pull of a blue fish, you will become addicted to it. This Giant Killing features a powerful blank, unique to the 5G series, that enables a safe fight. With a jig of 150g or more, it is the best model for jigging in deep areas and areas with fast currents.

GK5LJ-S64SLJ - This model is ideal for Super Light Jigging where you cast a lightweight jig and explore a wide area from the boat. Trouble-free casting is possible, as it is rigged with a Spinning reel. Use this Giant Killing 5G rod to explore shallow areas up to a depth of 50m. This is the lightest model in the series that allows you to enjoy jigging easily.

GK5LJ-S64L - If you want to aim for larger fish, with a single pitch jerk, using a 60-100g jig, or dig deeper and close to the bottom with a 80-120g jig, with a slow one-pitch jerks, this model is for you. It is a recommended model for fishing to explore a wide range by making use of the casting performance of spinning and for carefully aiming at the depth of the water where fish are found by pulling diagonally.

GK5LJ-S64ML - This model is recommended for one-pitch jerk with jigs over 100g and high-speed reeling of jigs. It is a model that combines sensitivity and power, so it will be useful for one-pitch jerks in deep water points.
