With the Airity LT series Daiwa once again sets a milestone regarding reel development, which meets even highest expectations.
Daiwa is one of the world’s leading manufacturers, utilizing top notch materials and technologies, used in the production of fishing gear. Various innovations of the Japanese manufacturer were embodied in the LT series (Light & Tough) reels, which made them not only incredibly light, but also extremely durable and strong. With the Airity LT series Daiwa once again sets a milestone regarding reel development, which meets even highest expectations.
The new Daiwa Airity LT reel unites the extreme toughness and retrieving power of the Monocoque concept with the LT design. By using a lightweight Zaion body in combination with the DS5 Rotor, the Daiwa engineers succeeded in developing an extremely lightweight, but nevertheless distortion-proof reel, that ensures huge retrieving power and durability thanks to the Monocoque frame. The Monocoque design allows the implementation of an extra-large drive gear, which is literally made for the permanent and uncompromising lure fishing with braided lines and soft lures. By using the new DS5 Carbon fiber material Daiwa could drastically reduce the reel weight, accompanied with enhancing the robustness considerably compared to conventional ABS composite materials, offering low weight at maximum strength. The one-piece body has been designed to give more space over to the Tough Digigear drive gear, which fills the whole space of the body, offers highest sensitivity and cares for a silky-smooth running, to detect even softest taps. This advance in design not only increases strength, it also minimizes spool inertia, offering a smoother, effortless wind.
Another feature that stands out in the Airity reels is the latest generation of the high-tech, Automatic Tournament Drag (ATD) system, that offers more grinding power at the start and offers a more stable and progressive drag. At the same time the ATD Drag puts you in control from the bite, to the net. The ATD drag works without delay and releases the selected drag power without starting resistance. The drag power has been further reinforced – the size 3000 offers a maximum drag power of 10kg.
What’s more, MagSealed oil acts as a guard against any impurities getting into the mech from under the spool.
The Daiwa Airity LT reels feature in total 8 ball bearings. Of these the sizes 1000/2000 comprise 3 "CRBB" ball bearings, sizes 2500/3000 comprise 4 "CRBB" ball bearings, while size 4000 comprises 5 "CRBB" ball bearings.
The ergonomic Hi-Grip handle knob enables a secure handling even with wet hands.
