The Yamaga Blanks Blue Current TZ/Nano rod series, are flagship models, the development of which incorporates the vast experience and knowledge in designing Light Game blanks of the Japanese leading company.

One has to fish with a Yamaga rod of the TZ/Nano series, to fully notice the lightness, the high sensitivity, the accuracy in casting, the feeling of totally controlling your lure and eliminating unwanted wobbling and the massive power hidden in the butt section, which increases, the more the blank bends.

Various models of different properties comprise the TZ/Nano series, hence there is a rod with the characteristics to cover the particular situations that anglers have to face and target specific species. The Blue Current TZ/Nano rod models support anglers who never stop exploring, to find new fishing methods and tactics on their own.

For their construction Prepreg Carbon material has been used, which is a material that has to always be kept fresh in a fridge and has to be cut in a room where temperature and humidity is controlled.

The TZ/Nano rods are equipped with Fuji Torzite ring guides, which are lightweight and create less friction.

The Blue Current Stream Special 77 / TZ Nano is a special, highly sensitive model, that operates without losing its repulsive force of the rod even under heavy load. To this contributes, the Toray Industries' material "Nano Alloy® Technology" that has been utilized for the blank’s construction. The range of lures that be used with this rod is wide, and it will show its true value in fields that experienced anglers like, such as Drift fishing in currents and Plugging in rivers. It will excel with Plugs, Jigheads, Lures and Caro rigs.

The Yamaga Blue Current 83 / TZ Nano Flex is a long-length model, that offers the angler two basic properties: the ease of handling tough opponents and the sensitivity of fishing with a lightweight jig head, while achieving long-distance casting of a single lure. The delicate feeling it passes to the palms of the angler’s hand, enables the delicate operation even of a small and lightweight plug. The blank will bend progressively and handle the sudden thrust of a commendable opponent, while gradually restoring the strength of the blank. This bending, floating and stopping performance will give the angler a great advantage even in fields where fighting is severe.

The Blue Current 85 / TZ Nano All-Range is a rod that will cover many bases in the Light Game field. An ultra-high sensitive, power rod for capturing all levels of the water column, from the surface to the middle layer and bottom, with a light line. Using the ultra-fine PE line, Yamaga developed this model as a weapon, with the concept of aiming at all targets, from small to large. Nano Alloy® technology is used for the blank to achieve natural high-sensitivity performance and amazing lifting power. The sensitivity at the time of fighting is also good and even if a big fish unexpectedly strikes, it is possible to immediately grasp the direction of the head and take the upper hand. You can enjoy Grouper Rock fish, Sea Breams and Seabass, Horse Mackerel, even Egging. How to use is up to you.

One point worth focusing on, is the analysis provided by a leading company, such as Yamaga Blanks, regarding the Casting Weight of its rods and how this becomes a determining factor, in the rod design process, but also for the ideal use of lures and rigs. Casting Weight for premium rods, such as the Yamaga Blanks, is not just a number that indicates the weight of the bait a rod can cast, but a series of measurements that determine during the blank’s construction, whether the rod casts properly, if it produces the right bending curve, or if it will properly manage lures made of different materials, at different depths.

Each type of artificial bait (whether it is a Pencil, Minnow, Jigheads with Silicones, Jig, etc.) but also rigs (such as Caro, Carolina, Texas, Fluke) have different casting requirements. The rod’s casting distance however, is determined by many factors such as weight, the mass of the lure, or rig and the weather conditions (a factor which does not affect the construction of the blank). Add to the above the depth to which our lure must reach and you can understand how many factors determine, whether our rod works properly, or not.

In this case, Yamaga Blanks gives us plenty of information and details about the development of the blanks of the TZ series regarding the Casting Weight, according to the type of the lure, or rig. For example, rigs such as the Caro, Carolina, Texas, and Fluke face greater air resistance during casting than a Jig, or Minnow (Plug) thus these rods allow us to use more weight in such rigging, in an effort to achieve a better casting distance, without putting the rod under pressure. On the other hand, a Minnow lure is more compact and can achieve a better shot with less weight. To sum up, Yamaga Blanks provides detailed information about the Casting Weight of the TZ / Nano rod series, depending on the type of lure we are going to use, its characteristics - such as weight - and the requirements to perform great casts. The Casting Weight mentioned is the ideal range for any category of lure, or rigging.

Bending Curve

It is a bending comparison, with a static load of 250 g applied to the Blue Current TZ series. The static load comparison does not express all the characteristics of the rod. This comparative image shows the weight gently hung with the reel set on the rod. The momentary repulsive force of the rod and the feeling of use when operating the lure are not expressed. Please see it as a comparison of the power and condition of the rod.
