Rough Trail Aomasa was put to life through the integration of DUO's world class injection molding technology and the know-how from the most respected anglers.
Its weight settings, wire-through design, interior rib structure and its unique body design rivals or surpasses those wood body models with its sharp action, controlability and body strength. This lure can easily be controlled to stage its "diving", "S-curve" and "sliding" action by novice to expert anglers in various field conditions.
DUO used to provide the Aomasa rigged with two Assist Hooks. Not any more. Nevertheless, since you will be rigging your Aomasa on your own, we provide you with the technical charesteristics of the Assist Hook that perfectly matches this heavy duty, DUO lure. The Aomasa should carry two hooks with:
(1) A vertical eye to easily attach the hook to the lure
(2) Increased endurance in the ring eye and the bend
A vertical eye ensures excellent balance. The hook should have a thin shank in order to reduce damage to the attached split ring. The main shank portion should be flat for shape-retention. Ultra Anti-last surface treatment provides a lasting anti-rust effect.
Ladder Rib Structure
By integrating a ladder like rib structure in the interior, we have managed to create a strong body without sacrificing its lightness for greater maneuverability and response.
Wire Inserted Molded Weight
By inserting the wire when forming the weight, we were able to create a large size injection pencil type lure with its weight distribution predominantly at the tail end. The application for design registration is currently being processed.
Stainless-Steel Pin to secure the Wire
We have inserted 3 different sized stainless-steel pins to secure the wire which runs through the body. This prevents the wire from coming loose, while reducing the weight by trimming the unnecessary meat off the body.
Out & Through Wire Structure
By running the wire through the outer side of the body, we were able to further reduce the plastic usually required around the wire, while increasing the air chamber for more buoyancy.
