Laboratorio Aguglia Turbo Lures

Surface Lures that have a small propeller on their tail, are widely known in In-shore fishing as “whoppers ploppers”, something that reminds us of a popper and actually works that way, more, or less.

The more experienced anglers, have experimented at some point with Ploppers in the Sea Water with success and Italian company Laboratorio comes to fill in the gap, with an original, sea water Plopper, the Aguglia Turbo lure.

This surface lure is a Needlefish, “Stylo’’ type of Plopper, that is rigged with heavy duty sea water treble hooks and split rings. Its tough ABS material body is made to withstand attacks and pressure even by large predators up to 50 kilos. Its “Aurora” paint is very durable, its aerodynamic shape and upper fin as well as its internal weight system offers long casting properties and stability while in the water.

It is fairly easy to use the Aguglia Turbo even at a novice level. With a quick retrieve it leaves an impressive water trail behind it. With the rod tip down and with twitches just like a popper, Aguglia will plunge in the water momentarily; it will resurface and will leave a popping and splashing water column behind. If we retrieve it really fast, it will perform a crazy skipping motion, right on the surface.

The Laboratorio Aguglia Turbo is an alternative surface lure that, represents a new concept and which will attract big Seabass, Mahi Mahi, Bonitos, Amberjacks and big Barracudas.
