The Shimano Aero X5 Match Float rod is a high-quality choice for the avid angler, looking for a light, reactive and strong rod. Equipped with XT60 + HPC + Nano blanks, this rod has been designed to meet a variety of fishing needs, from method feeder fishing on small ponds, to float fishing and heavier feeder techniques on distance, or rivers.

The rod features super lightweight Seaguide XOG anti-tangle guides, that have been selected and spaced to suit each model’s intended use and a Shimano DPS reel holder, for optimum performance. The high-quality cork/EVA reel seat is a classic design, ensures a comfortable fishing experience and is complemented by a custom designed reel seat with a screw down hood for streamlined simplicity.

Using a combination of High Modulus Carbon, HPC (High Pressure Carbon) technology and Nanosheet, the Aero X5 offer fantastic performance across the complete range.

Shimano Nano Carbon is a technology which is used to build rod blanks which are on average 35% stronger and 15% lighter than a conventional rod. The heart of a Nano rod blank is made of Nano Carbon sheet. This sheet has a special weave which allows the use of a low amount of resin, spread in very small nano particles. This creates strength, lightness and responsiveness.

HPC (High Pressure Carbon) is a process which creates stronger, more responsive blanks. Pressure is applied to the blank surface during curing (heating) which evenly distributes the resin through the carbon fiber matrix. The result is a much stronger more consistent performance and improved responsiveness.
