The Gomexus Bearing Checking Tool is made of aluminum, is lightweight and easy to use. It is a necessary tool for anglers involved in their own reel maintenance. The Gomexus Bearing tool can be used for cleaning bearings and checking their rotation.

Put the bearing on the Gomexus bearing maintenance tool and spin it with your finger tip, while it is positioned vertically. The bearing should spin smoothly, freely and without any noise.

Hold the bearing vertically and slowly rotate it, while grasping it between your index finger and thumb.

If with the checking, you feel a rough spot, there might be a problem with the particular bearing: A) the bearing has debris (sand, dust, salt, etc.) B) a ball is damaged C) the retainer (cage) is bent, or a race is dented.

You need to clean / lubricate the bearing and repeat both checks again. If the bearing fails either of the two checks, you may need to replace it.
