The Penn Surfblaster III is a fantastic long cast reel, equipped with the best features to make this reel as durable and strong, as possible.

This reel, as its predecessor, has been designed especially for the Surf Casting enthusiasts. Due to the forged and machined, aluminum made, conical shaped, shallow spool combined with the extra slow oscillation system, the Penn Surfblaster III will let you cast further than ever before. The built in slow oscillation gives incredible line lay over the spool for ultra long range casting performance with both mono and braided main lines. The all new Penn Surfblaster III features a strong, but lightweight graphite frame with graphite side plates.

The 6 sealed, stainless steel ball bearing system, including an instant anti-reverse bearing, result in a perfectly smooth retrieve, even under heavy pressure. The Surfblaster III also comes with the powerful, but smooth HT-100 carbon fibre drag system, rotor brake, and a full manual bail arm. In the box you will find a spare deep spool, making sure you will always have the correct line with you for every fishing condition.

This Penn Casting reel is also salt water resistant to minimise long term corrosion, making this the ideal reel for all surf casting situations.

HT-100™ Carbon Fiber Drag System

Saltwater fishing requires drag that lets you work with the fish, not against it. Our high-tech carbon fiber drag washers are lubricated with Penn®’s proprietary grease to ensure that your first catch, reels in as smooth as your last, no matter how heavy the load. Engineered with longevity in mind, you can pull in 100 miles of line off of the reel with no wear on the washers.
