Bassday Mio JW Lures

The Bassday, Mio JW Pencil lure is definitely an artificial fishing bait that will intrigue Light Rock Fishing enthusiasts.

Bassday collaborated for the second time with specialized company in lure manufacturing SMF2, after the Reina JM. They now present the Bassday Mio JM, a sinking Pencil, with a solid body, ready to take on the LRF scene with its tight, rolling motion. The casting distance achieved by the weight of 3.5g in a small size of 48mm is overwhelming.

The Mio JW is a special Pencil lure, in which innovative manufacturing techniques have been applied. To begin with, one will notice that the construction material is very different from what we have seen in mass-produced lures. Semi-transparent, solid body in various color combinations, which allow sunlight to pass through the Bassday Mio JW body, then reflecting it and attracting predators.

The tungsten sphere that functions as a ballast, provides stability to the Mio JW lure, but the unique thing about it, is that half of its volume is outside the lure’s body, shifting the center of gravity extremely low. At the same time, the tungsten sphere, being half outside the body, will multiply the water turbulence during the retrieve of the lure, under the water surface. When falling, the tungsten ball, with an ultra-low center of gravity in the abdomen helps the lure maintain a horizontal posture and achieve a shimmy fall.

Another unique feature, lays on the sides of the Bassday Mio JW and at the height of the side line. SMF2 has created a smooth slit (hollow line), which gives to the lure extra stability, while also helping reduce the sinking speed. Additionally, the slit changes the way sunlight is reflected, even slightly, creating a striking effect. The slits on the side, change the water flow and improve the straightness of the lure and are especially effective for straight retrieves, when you cast it, let it sink and bring it to your feet.
