Zipbaits Abile System Minnow 139S Lure

18 years after its debut, the Zabra System Minnow lure, has evolved further, to adopt to the highly elastic, lightweight rods and thin PE lines that dominate fishing these days. Zipbaits developed the Abile lure.

With the Zipbaits Abile lure, the target prey is infinite. Although designed to mainly address Seabass, the Zipbaits Abile will target any fish species that respond to Mediterranean spinning fishing.

In the Abile lure, Zipbaits has made further improvements to the MAG Drive technology, replacing steel with the environmentally friendly tungsten. By also removing the cushion rubber on the tail part, the operating distance of the main weight is further expanded. The basic structure of the Mag Drive comprises of a shaft drive and a magnetized fixed structure. When casting the moving weight (made of Tungsten) placed onto the horizontal axis, equipped with magnetic plates, rapidly sides from the front to the back of the lure, giving it an impressive casting distance. During retrieve, the main weight is magnetically fixed to the front end of the shaft.

"Mag Drive" is a technological innovation that helps the lure, overcome problems in casting distance, or balance underwater. When casting, the main weight (Tungsten) is shaft-driven, to improve long-distance performance and when retrieved, it is firmly magnetically fixed to achieve a sharp action, with good response. With the weight being non-fixed, it will move wildly when the posture changes during retrieve, or when the load changes due to water currents, or rod work. Maintaining the balance is more than necessary. Since the weight does not rampage, the action sensitivity is also improved.

In addition, by adding weight to the front of the lure, the lure’s posture during casting is more stable and the casting distance is increased by about 20%, without killing the action of the lure.

The action of the 139S Abile is slightly closer to tight rolling and the vibration of the lure is transmitted to the angler’s palm.
