DUO Rough Trail Hydra Lures

There is hardly anything more heart pumping than smashing predators on surface lures. The DUO Rough Trail Hydra will mesmerize an array of species with its dynamic skipping action, staying on the surface, imitating perfectly the movement of needlefish and garfish.

The DUO Hydra is a long type, slow sinking pencil, that targets the pelagic species from land-based, or off-shore fishing. By utilizing the long body design, the Hydra will reduce the chances of large species swallowing the whole lure, or bite down on the shock-leader.

The slim body has enabled the lure to twitch and jerk with little rod work and will swing its neck from side to side. It will also enact a skipping action dragging the tail on the surface with fast retrieval.

First there was the Hydra 220. Now comes the 175. Compared to the 220 with its three balls, the 175 has two steel weights in its back end. In a smaller package it offers the same streamlined body that reacts quickly to the smallest jerk and the same small head/neck design for enticing movement on the surface. DUO equipped the Hydra with a small head design and loaded it with a fixed weight in the tail section, so it responds quickly to the anglers action, while maintaining its high appeal to the targets. It is most suited for use when the fish are feeding on the surface.
