Handmade Wooden Lesvos V Spearguns

The Lesvos V is a wooden, handmade, monoblock speargun, with closed muzzle, made of 5 to 7 strips of wood, depending on the length and needs of each spearo.

Wood is a particularly durable material, with many properties for outdoor use. The shape of the wooden speargun is designed to minimize the side profile of the gun, without reducing its stiffness when cocked, and makes it as flexible as a conventional weapon in side movements. The body of the gun is made, using the best quality of wood and the combination of 5 to 7 glued strips, they ensure maximum rigidity. For the gluing process, the best market glue is being used, such as those by West System.

The Lesvos V wooden speargun has grooves on the right and left side of the shaft’s guide, in the shape of a crescent moon, for better laying of the bands. From the middle of the speargun’s body and towards the muzzle, there is a noticeable, progressive taper, for even easier movements, either horizontally, or vertically. The gun’s muzzle is made of stainless steel, V-shaped and there is an opening for a second pair of bands to pass through, or even a third if necessary.

The Lesvos V hand-crafted, wooden speargun, features an ergonomically designed, ambidextrous grip and stainless steel inverted trigger mechanism, which offers longer loading length, improves the speargun’s profile, and achieves maximum versatility and accurate aiming. The sights of the weapon are ideal for users of firearms with closed head. The Meandros inverted trigger mechanism is made entirely of stainless steel and designed to take full advantage of the laws of mechanics, to accept heavy loads without reducing the sensitivity of the trigger.

The colors used to paint the Lesvos speargun are hypoxic and the anti-scratch varnish - in a matte shade - is long lasting and friendly to the marine environment.

The speargun comes ready to use with a shaft, Meandros reel with 50 meters of Dyneema line and rubber bands.

All handmade Lesvos spearguns are tested and weighed at sea on a fixed target.

They can be developed of Iroko and Teak wood in the following sizes (arming length): 75, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130.
