The Shout Shotel is a jig that utilizes the best elements of the Lance jig and can be accurately called a “thicker Lance”.
The Shotel is a small silhouette jig that can be jigged in shallow water, but at the same time reproduces its attractive falling action also in areas of deep water. The Shotel sinks like a falling leaf from a tree, moving from side to side like a rocking cradle. This motion, combined with the small silhouette provoke instinct bites from predators.
One side of the Shotel jig is almost straight, as it consists of one flat side and 2 narrow edges intersecting each other. On the same side, Shout has placed details such as the eye and gills, while the other side resembles a boat’s keel, without edges. Both sides of the jig have impressive fluorescent elements and holographic finish.
When jigging in greater depths, the volume of the Shotel jig comes into play, as its extra-thick body and fluorescent elements take over. It is easy to maintain the “Cradle fall” even in great depths.
What is the right jerking style for the "Shotel" jig? As with all jigs, it is not possible to draw a clear line between the effectiveness of Slow Pitch and High Pitch jigging. It is up to the angler to decide upon the hook settings and how to operate the jig.
Assist Hooks are not included.
