Following a long evolution from concept through advanced rod building technology and comprehensive field testing, Maxel has developed a unique Slow Jigging rod, that overcomes the shortcomings of similar rods in the category.
The Risky Player has the power and action to capture fish and bring them to the surface, overcoming the weak characteristics sometimes found in high-resilient carbon blanks. Maxel has found the answer in the powerful carbon fiber used in the blanks, which makes these Slow Jigging rods light, extremely sensitive and incredibly strong.
The Risky Player 55 version has been designed for fishing in deep water and strong currents. Fishing at a depth of more than 200m causes powerful resistance from the water layers, but the shorter rod will help reduce pressure on the arm, increase the feel of the jig's action through the blank and deliver sensitive bite indication. It is a super lightweight design, with extra thin blank for powerful fights. Has been designed with a Fast Action blank, making it suitable for High-Pitch techniques and can be used to pursuit all-round performance for Slow Jigging in deep water.
It has been equipped by Maxel with Fuji Torzite Titanium guides, which are ultra-thin, stronger, with lower friction, 40% lighter and smoother than SIC.
