Slash Tide Thief Seabass Rods

For Spinning fishing and especially for Seabass Game, Japanese company Slash has developed the Tide Thief series of rods. These are rods specially designed for Saltwater Seabass fishing and Slash has paid attention to even the smallest detail, in order to create a rod with exemplary performance in Saltwater conditions. To set up the blank of the Tide Thief, Slash used high-quality carbon fibers, combining them with the advanced Helical X Carbon Concept technology, offering to the final product unparalleled strength, while at the same time did not lose the blank’s sensitivity.

Slash uses Fuji K-Series stainless guides to prevent line snags, or wind knots, in high wind conditions. The ceramic material in all the guides is Alconite, except for the top one, in which SiC was used. With this combination Slash has achieved functionality and braid protection, without raising the rods’ cost.

The Helical Wrapping construction method is used in both rod sections, to create a blank that is flexible, bends progressively and is capable of technical action. The tip is reinforced with Carbon tape, allowing natural movements and easy strikes. The handle design reduces wrist fatigue.

The reel seat is of Fuji specifications. The length of the handle has been designed, taking into account the optimal casting, the ease of performing jerks and the balance of the rod when fishing.

TT-902ML

The TT-902ML rod has a length of 2.74 m, a Casting Weight of 7 – 30 g and can handle braids between PE#0.6 and PE#1.5. It is the version that can create ideal presentations for small Minnows and Pencils, giving them life, even with slow retrieve. Its soft and progressive tip can give movement even to worm-type silicone baits, on days when Seabass are not active and prefer to lazily chase easy targets. The Slash TT-902ML is a rod model that can be used with a wide variety of Bass lures. It can work a wide range of lures from 9 cm Minnows and Pencils, Jigs and Tail Spinners.

TT-962M

TT-962M is the heaviest version of rods, with a length of 2.90m and Casting Weight 10 – 42g. It can be combined with braided lines of PE#0.8 to PE#2.0. This is the rod to use if you are fishing for Seabass, when the wind is strong and the need to use heavy weight minnows becomes imperative. Take advantage of its long casting capacity to "scan" an area with consecutive, parallel casts.
