Ecogear Power Squid 3.5'’ Silicone Squid

The effectiveness of squid as a bait, in any form, natural or artificial, is known to all those involved in fishing and this is because squid is an important link in the food chain. Any Cephalopod species is an integral part of the food habits of almost all marine predators.

Now Ecogear presents a smaller and more sophisticated version of the Power Squid in 3.5˝ size.

The Ecogear Power Squid is a silicone bait, with very realistic details and an even more realistic underwater movement. Ecogear has given the Power Squid a new breeze of life by modifying it to include realistic, 3D squid eyes, a new tentacle design, a thin peripheral fin that moves with even the subtlest of currents, or any movement of the rig. It is made of extra soft silicone, to create a perfect presentation.

The Power Squid 3.5'' squid provides us with many different ways of rigging, when there is none. For example, with:

• A Jig Head
• Offset hook and the Cheburashka rig
• Bullet Jig Head for Texas and Carolina rigs
• With leaded offset hook
• With Tenya jig, when fresh bait is not available

The ideal hook size to match the Ecogear Power Squid 3.5˝ is 2/0 or 3/0 depending on the model.

The majority of the color variations are realistic, however there are also a few that are intense enough to be used in conditions that require bright colors.

The Power Squid silicone squid is also available in Glowing colors for use in dark conditions, or in colors that react to UV light exposure.
