Mustad, one of the leading hook manufacturers in the world, for more than 100 years, has great ambitions for its new venture in the field of sport fishing. Over the past years, the company has invested considerably in product development, not only in hooks, but also in other types of fishing gear. One of the latest product lines is called Rig & Surf - a range of rigging accessories for use in salt water. As we would expect from a company of this caliber, Mustad has emphasized the quality in the development of the Rig & Surf series, which consists of swivels, beads, sleeves and in general a wide range of Surf Casting and Boat fishing accessories.
The Mustad 9993 is a clear, plastic bead, which has two holes running through it, at 90 degrees to each other. They have been designed for making light weight, paternoster rigs for Sea Bream, whiting, flatties etc.
You rig the beads, by sliding the main trace body line through the 'long' hole and fastening in place, by using a stopper on either side of the bead.
You then tie an overhand knot in the snood to act as a stopper, thread this through the other hole and tie the hook. Allows the quick assembly of paternoster rigs without the need for beads, swivels and crimps.
The Mustad 9993 is available in three sizes, in 12pcs per pack.
