Company Hayashi has developed an Octopus jig that can be fished from a boat or the shore.
Hayashi has taken inspiration from traditional techniques and baits fishermen have used for a long time and created a jig that actively appeals to octopus.
Hayashi added a blade on a swivel, along with the hooks. If there is turbulence in sea, the octopus might look for prey visually, so it may be very effective to increase the volume of the jig and the visual impact, with a bait, or add a blade to make it stand out on the seabed by flashing. You will also notice that the sinker has two eye rings, so you can attach more blades to appeal even more to octopus.
This Hayashi Octopus jig can also be used from the shore. In this case it is necessary to further support the casting distance, in order to search a wide area in search for octopus. In such a case, it is possible to cast farther by attaching a weight in one of the sinker’s eyes.
Another element that makes this jig effective is its well balance posture coming from a shape that gives buoyancy to the rear, to avoid tangles.
Available in two sizes: 3.0 (25 gr) and 3.5 (35 gr)
Color 08 has a fluorescent sinker.
