Interprotect® is a quick drying, easy to apply, two-pack epoxy primer for high performance protection on all rigid substrates. It's two-component application gives excellent anti-corrosive and abrasion resistance properties and it can be used equally above or below the waterline.

Interprotect is perfectly formulated for polyester, vinylester, epoxy, steel, aluminium, ferro cement and timber hulls, above and below the waterline.

Interprotect can be used on all suitably prepared substrates and epoxy primers. Suitable for stainless steel trim tabs and stern drive gear. It should not be used over any one pack products. Not suitable for use on bronze or mixed alloy propellers.

Technical Characteristics

  • Not suitable for use below 5ºC.
  • For above and below the waterline
  • Finish: Matt
  • Thinner/ Cleaner: YTA061 Thinners No.7
  • Number of Coats: 1-5 by brush or roller depending on the substrate and use
  • Method of application: Brush, Roller
  • Apply the following number of coats:
    • 4 or 5 for Steel/ Aluminium/ Alloy
    • 5 for Lead surfaces
    • 3 for Wood
  • Mix Ratio is 3:1 (base : curing agent) by volume (as supplied).
  • Coverage: (Theoretical) 9.1 m²/ lt by brush
  • Coverage: (Practical) 8.1 m²/ lt by brush
  • For maximum performance, temperature should be above 10ºC.
  • Available in 750 ml / 2.5 Lt
