Yamashita Egi King TR Sinker

The King TR Sinker is a special lead for improving the casting and sinking abilities of your squid jigs (에기), brought by Yamashita (야마시타).

The King TR Sinker can be attached to the tip of your squid jig’s head and allow you to adopt your Eging style to the changing conditions of the sea, such as the changing the water depth, wind direction, currents, etc. They are "worn" on the head of your Egi lure, to be able to use it in deeper water, or with stronger current without having to resort to the use of other weights on the line.

By interchanging the weight and color of the Yamashita sinker mask, the appeal to squids changes and your jig becomes more effective. It can be easily attached and detached, hence it is not necessary to carry with you a large amount of Egi (에기), in case you want to cast further, or reach deeper. The King TR Sinker transforms the squid jig into an "Ultra Deep" lure, with an almost vertical sinking, but its movement in the recovery phase remains horizontal while keeping the swimming posture natural.

At the same time it increases the launch distance without altering the movement of the lure. It is also possible to transform small jigs, into jigs suitable for trolling without the classic upstream ballast.

The Egi King TR sinker is also a necessary accessory because of its versatility, as it can be fitted to most of the squid jigs in the market. For that reason, it has two slits so you can pass the ring in either of the two positions and achieve a different rigging.

Yamashita suggests to follow two rules of thumb, for combining the weight of the sinker and the squid jig, although this rule applies mostly to the way Japanese anglers hunt squids

Water Depth x 1g is the basic rule, meaning that if you want to reach the depth of 30 mt the total weight of the squid jig + the sinker must sum up to 30 gr.

You should select the weight, that makes the line angle 45⁰ degrees.
