The Daiwa Prorex FC Leader material is made in Japan and is extremely resistant to abrasion, yet very supple.

It is ideal as a leader line for freshwater and saltwater fishing. The fluorocarbon leader material from Daiwa Prorex offers exceptional value for money.

PVDF is a material with properties that make it the most highly-regarded fluorocarbon for fishing leader. PVDF is a highly non-reactive and pure thermoplastic fluoropolymer. It is generally used in applications requiring the highest purity, strength, and resistance to solvents, acids and heat. Its optical density is lower than mono, making it less visible to fish. It has a harder surface which increases its abrasion resistance. This technology doesn't take up water and it's also resistant to UV light. PVDF is denser than mono, so it will sink faster and will not float.
