Tsurinoya Stinger 173F Lure

The Stinger series of lures has been designed by Tsurinoya, to achieve high performance and with each different lure model, to approach different species of predatory fish. The Tsurinoya Stingers are equipped with a Tungsten Moving Ballast System, on a fixed axis and will make impressively long casts, defying the intensity of the wind from whatever direction it is blowing.

The Tungsten Ballast Moving technology, on a fixed axis, significantly increases the casting distance, vertically reducing the friction between the ballast and the lure, compared to the moving spheres system. The Tungsten Ballast moves to the right position, inside the body of the lure, depending on the situation the lure is in. When the angler is about to cast the lure, the ballast is at the back, while from the moment the lure is launched from our rod, the ballast will move forward, giving the lure the ideal angle and ensuring its fully realistic movement and action from the very first stroke of the rod.

Another factor that contributes to achieving long distances, in addition to the modern moving ballast system, is the Stinger's body design. Its massive body, combined with the production of reflections, will enable the Stinger 173F to attract from a long distance, the curious predators, actively seeking for a meal.

Tsurinoya developed the Stinger 173F to target numerous large and fighting predators. In the Mediterranean it can easily go after Sea Bass, Barracuda during the Autumn period, the fat Winter Bonitos and any other predator might come its way. The Stinger 173F features a unique combination of motion, with gentle Wobbling and Rolling action.

At the same time, the design of the lip gives instant motion to the lure, with the slightest command from the rod’s tip.

It is rigged with specially treated treble hooks, for increased resistance to seawater corrosion.
