Bassday developed in September 2020, an important technology for its lures, so that they can withstand strong headwinds. It is essential for any lure, not only to "fly well", but also to obtain flight energy with torque that reduces the effect of wind. To achieve that a Center-of-Gravity movement system is essential in order to increase the flight distance. Bassday decided to install a super-heavy, Tungsten cylindrical weight on a shaft, which is Bassday's original center of gravity movement system.

The new mechanism is called TSL (Torsion Spring Lock). Double torsion springs, which are found in every office and are used as clips to hold documents, are incorporated into the shaft glider system and the elasticity of the torsion springs locks the rampage of the super-heavy cylindrical weights. By adopting the new mechanism TSL, it became possible to install an ultra-heavy tungsten cylinder moving weight of 8mm diameter and 14.5g, which is the first in the history of Bassday development. As a result, when casting, it acquires "flying energy with torque" and when swimming, it realizes an action like a fixed center of gravity.

Click here for the Bassday TSL video.

During the backswing, the moving weight is kept locked by the elasticity of the double torsion spring in front of the weight room. The moment the rod tip reverses and shifts to the front swing, the casting power is transmitted to the moving weight, pushing up the double torsion spring and instantly moving to the rear of the weight room. At that time, the moving weight acquires strong repulsive energy and creates explosive torque.

The moving weight is positioned at the rear of the weight room at the time of touching the surface and moves forward on the shaft, when the reeling starts. At that time, the double torsion spring, does not work its elasticity due to the installation angle and the play of the two allow the moving weight to pass through without stress. The moving weight moves forward in the weight room and is locked by the elasticity of the double torsion spring.

The 124F model averages over 75m casting distance and the 140F lure averages over 86m (according to our company's flight distance test results), achieving top-class flight distances for lures of the same size. The commitment does not stop only in the flight distance. A natural action reminiscent of the Log Surf lures and a slightly voluminous body stirs the water and appeals to nearby predators. In addition, the pitch of the lines forming the scale pattern on the side, is gradually finer in the head and rear than in the center to produce a lively feeling. Please note that the casting distance is different between the floating and sinking model. The sinking model allows the angler to explore a wider area.

The base of the lip has been strengthened to avoid breakage when coming in contact with rocks.

The floating model has weak buoyancy and is an effective bait for slow retrieves in shallow water. In addition, the lure reacts clearly to changes in the flow, or the strength of currents and can also be effective as a search minnow in night games.
