Yamaga Blanks Blue Current III

Leading Japanese company Yamaga Blanks has upgraded the BlueCurrent rod series, with the Blue Current III.

The Blue Current series is one of the rod series that incorporate most of Yamaga’s expertise and the values that made this company, one of the leading manufacturers in the world.

This is not a mere model change. On the contrary this kind of numbering means that Yamaga has designed the third generation of the Blue Current series, giving the III new characteristics and identity, by starting at the core of the product. What Yamaga Blanks aimed to achieve with the Blue Current III series is to:

• Expand the Casting Weight range
• Improve the bending properties of the blank
• Improve the quickness and sharpness of the rod, to make it feel like an extended of your arm

The following image presents a comparison of the bending curve of the Blue Current III, when loaded with a 250 gr weight, but does not represent the full potential of the rod. To achieve such a result, it is not only the construction of the blank, but the exact positioning of the guides and the type of handle used.

Model 82 is the almighty, technical rod, when you want to master tactics in the light game category. The Blue Current III 82 has been fine tuned to be sharper and achieve more distance than previous models. The butt section has been enhanced. Furthermore the whole blank bends smoothly and recovers powerfully. Sensitivity and flexibility of the tip section have been sharpened, to instantly and accurately transmit the information that any angler needs. Its second name is “Power Finesse Model”, as it can target Seabass by handling plugs around 7 – 9 cm, or soft baits with jig heads up to 20 gr, aiming to Rockfish.

The 76 Stream rod has been fine tuned to target prey hiding in complex structures. This 76 Stream has been designed to be combined with various kinds and sizes of plugs, top water lures, Minnows, Sinking Pencils targeting Mackerel, medium size Seabass and Sea Breams. This rod has moderate action and comfortable recovery speed, which is applied all along the rod in a harmonious way.

The Blue Current III 69 is a rod for aggressive fishing with jig heads, plugs or pencil lures. It has been designed from top to bottom to accurately control the motion or your lure. The blank has moderate action, it is highly sensitive and instantly transmits to your palm, little but vital information, as slight current changes. If you are performing aggressive twitches and jerks, this is the model to use. It has been designed for Sea bream and Seabass fishing with the use of hard lures. Its flexible tip and strong blank perfectly compose a rod designed to ideally fish with minnows.
