CB One MB1 Semilong Jigs

The MB 1 Semilong is another handmade, multi-faceted jig, by CB One, which will perform its best when there are shoals of small fish in the area, close to the surface. The existence of small fish shoals also indicates the presence of their predators. This is the moment when the CB One MB1 Semilong jig will make a difference, from the moment it falls into the water. It will not go unnoticed by large predators, due to its intensive reflections and movement. Its perfectly symmetrical design and well balanced weight, will make the MB1 Semilong move provocatively by sliding and “cutting” the water, both during sinking and during the quick retrievals towards the surface.

Another factor that enables the CB One jig to retain its balance and stability, even in the presence of strong currents is the use of different lead alloys in the same jig. This makes the CB One MB1, amongst other things, an extremely compact jig. As the CB One MB1 sinks, in a position parallel to the bottom, it produces a trembling motion, that results in emitting constant "flashes" and reflections, along with color alternations. The effect it causes, in combination with its long body, will become the focus of attack by nearby predators.

Its movement during sinking resembles a weak, or injured fish, that has been cut off from the shoal and is sinking, making it an easy prey for its pursuers. In case we work the jig with slow motions, performing long jerks and letting it sink again, it will follow a diagonal path towards the bottom with its back end, before coming to a parallel position.

If the CB One MB1 Semilong jig is used with fast jerks, we should ideally rig it only with front Assist Hooks. Rigging the rear ring with Assist Hooks, there is a high chance of getting tangled up. The use of front and rear Assist Hooks is recommended only in case it will be fished with a Baitcasting set and with slow retrieves.
