The Okuma Cedros CJ-8000 is a new generation reel, specifically designed for saltwater use, inspired by Strength and Light Weight.
The Cedros spinning reels feature Okuma’s Litecast™ construction design, a new proprietary Body and Rotor material, which offers the same strength as Die Cast Aluminum, but with significant weight reduction. Really helpful when you are fishing vertically, or casting all day long.
The body, side plates, the whole housing feature CRC Coating for increased resistance against corrosion.
The Okuma Cedros 8000 features a screw in handle design, so you can easily move it from one side to another.
Another feature is the Manual Bail System, so the bail arm will not automatically click over, when you spin the reel. The reason for that, especially if you cast heavy lures is that you don’t want the bail arm to trip over and affect the casting distance.
Dual Force Drag System provides the angler with extreme stopping power and Okuma’s proprietary High Density Gearing with a special corrosion resistant coating. Combine this with a high-speed gear ratio and a customized aluminum handle and you have one of the best saltwater jig fishing reels on the market.
