Hayabusa Delta Spear Jig Heads

Darting is a new trend in technical soft bait fishing. Jerkbait-type silicone baits come into life, with sharp and constant jerks and twitches, that make them dart from place to place and all over, as does a wounded, panicked bait fish. To do that right we need conical shaped, hydrodynamic jig heads with the minimum resistance in the water.

Shads usually have two issues: Tails are being cut off, either from smaller fish, or by this big predator that simply bites them off and then runs away. In addition, soft baits tend to slip away from the hook and they get unrigged, due to our jerks and twitches. These technical elements are vital to the correct presentations in the use of a silicon lure.

The Hayabusa Delta Spear jig heads have been designed for speedy and aggressive retrieves. First they have an extra arm with a barb, that fits into the silicon lure’s body and sticks it securely into place. Hayabusa calls it Quick Spear System. In size 8 the extra arm resembles a corkscrew, while in smaller sizes it is a thin pin. They all carry a bard at the tip. Thus the silicon lure will not slip away either by bites, currents, or the long use in the water, as it has a firm hold on the jighead.

Their hydrodynamic, bullet shape enables the Hayabusa Delta Spear jig heads to be used in many retrieve actions, mainly in steady, slow, or faster retrieves even resisting strong current without fail. The Delta head has low weight balance to achieve the steady motion. The hook is made of heavy wire and carries a semi-curved hook point, that prevents the silicone from slipping forward.

Finally the big ring enables the angler to easily attach them to a snap, or tie a knot even in the dark.
