Palms Thumb Shad Lure

The Palms Thumb Shad originates from lake water fishing and has become a very effective lure in Light Rock Fishing in seawater this time. The original model is Sam Shad, which started as a balsa lure more than 10 years ago. It came to life again as an injection lure. The body, which almost follows the specifications made on Balsa, has been transformed into a lure that is both tough and easy to use.

Its large lip allows it to grip a – proportionally – big amount of water, a feature that places it in the Deep Diving lures.

The Palms Thumb Shad has a voluminous body, the buoyancy of which creates synergies with the wide lip and makes this lure ideal for shallow waters. The basic presentation of this lure is a tight wobbling action, through steady retrieve. Furthermore, the body responds easily and accurately to your rod work, without a lot of effort and produces an irregular dirt action. With this lure, Light Rock Fishing enthusiasts will avoid the risk of losing their lure to under water structures.

One of its main features, that turns into a valuable benefit is that it remains in a suspending position, under the water surface even in rough weather conditions. Many times the Light Rock Fishing predators, feed in the “medium depths” of the water column. In shallow waters, in rocky structures, the Thumb Shad swims in a straight line, without deviating in terms of depth and produces a Wobbling action. Hence it is easily spotted by predators and easily handled by the angler as waves and the wind do not affect its motion.
