The O.S.P. Yamato Jr can attract bass naturally, with a sweet popping sound and smooth turns, generated by soft rod action. On the contrary, with hard rod work, it will produce high appeal, through a popping sound that creates reaction and wide splashes.
In spite of the individuality of fishing lure products getting weaker, the Yamato O.S.P was released in 2006 creating an original concept in the field of similar lures, namely pencil baits and poppers. Yamato' downsizing version Yamato Jr. was born, to continue the success of Yamato's concept and to adjust it to tougher conditions.
In order to strengthen various features, Yamato's structure was redesigned to create the Jr. version and achieved abilities that topwater plugs has never had.
The lower eye is used normally to perform the Walk the Dog retrieve, right and left, generating a strong temptation amongst nearby prey. In an instant it performs at its maximum ability and lures the targets. Its power of appeal attracts bass from a wide range, even from weeds area.
The O.S.P. Yamato Jr can attract bass naturally, with a sweet popping sound and smooth turns, generated by soft rod action. On the contrary, with hard rod work, it will produce high appeal, through a popping sound that creates reaction and wide splashes. The Yamato Jr. is a stick bait that will respond equally well to any rod work you decide to offer.
Another action it produces, in addition to splashes, is a unique sound while dog walking. A popping sound is being created by the front and side cup, quite similar to the bite sound of Seabass, that stimulates the fighting instinct of target bass. At the same time, the Yamato Jr generates wide scattered splashes to demonstrate an appeal power beyond comparison.
Technical Characteristics
- Length: 9,4 εκ
- Weight: 18 γρ
- Type: TOP
- Hook Size: #4
Side Cup
In order to splash water widely, a side cup has been added on left and right of the mouth. No other lure has side cups. Side cups create not only water splash, but masses of air in the water, to attract big Seabass from a wide area, when the high-appeal eye is used. And it also helps the lure to dive, when faced with a current. |
Center board
Center board attached beneath the mouth, helps the lure perform a quick 180 degree turn, as if it was a rudder (when high appeal eye is used). Moreover, it helps increase splash, widen the action in an S shape, simply by a retrieve. So it is a very important feature which creates action that is impossible for normal pencils and popper to reproduce. |
Dual Eye - High Appeal Eye
This is the main ring that generates a pencil and popper action, as a topwater lure. High pitch Walk the Dog action, that swings its head up and down, right and left can tempt predators. Also produces a wide angle splash, to which spray scatters on the surface, to create an appeal that can be spotted from the deep and from far. |
Dual Eye - Diving Eye
The Diving Eye makes the lure dive easily, so as another OSP Yamato, the stage of the action shifts right under the water surface. Make the lure dive by applying a little harder rod work and allow it to dog walk under water by continuous twitches. It will produce an S-character action with wide rolling, right under the surface of water, simply by retrieving. It increases the chances of a strike as Seabass does not have to come up to the surface, as the lure does half the work for it. |
