The RES II System stands for Rotor Equalizing System. This second-generation RES System incorporates a computer-balanced weight precisely placed in the rotor. This weight allows for precision balance and eliminates all spool wobble for perfect alignments and smooth cranking.

AlumiLite Frame Construction incorporates Okuma's rigid aluminum body technology on spinning, trolling and fly reel designs. Aluminum frames are stronger and more rigid and are capable of withstanding more pressure and torque than traditional graphite frames. These lightweight, die-cast aluminum frames provide more precise tolerances for precision gear alignment, maximum castability and ultimate durability.

Built on the foundation of our patented EOS elliptical oscillation drive gears, this revolutionary oscillation system offers superior line lay and improved smoothness, while maintaining unmatched stability, thanks to the elliptical shaped gears which are constantly engaged during the oscillation cycle.

Okuma's Blade Body Design narrows the profile of the reel's frame. This feature reduces weight eliminating the extra mass and bulk of the reel, giving the reel a much lighter and compact design.
