Using high-grade carbon materials and rod components, Gamakatsu has managed to design a rod series that offers a perfect balance between light action, performance casting, secure hook setting and safe landing of toothy fish.

The Akilas rod series has been set up according to Japanese standards. They have been constructed using the forever lasting Gamakatsu blank, a third generation high modulus material, that will maintain its properties for a long time, regardless how often, or how hard you treat them and will cope in any situation, irrespective of how technical, demanding, or difficult the fishing style is. At all times you will feel the thrill of speed and accuracy with this rod. 

All Gamakatsu Akilas are 2.70 m long. They will impress you with their casting accuracy, but most importantly they achieve the perfect bending curve during battle. Their total weight is very low, hence you will not feel there is anything in your hands.

Their action is Extra Fast and they have a wide range of Casting Weight. As a result, with the Gamakatsu Akilas you will be able to fish with a broad scope of lures starting with silicone baits, Minnows, Spoons and light jigs.

Gamakatsu equipped the Akilas rod series with Fuji Tangle-Free K Guides and a Fuji VSS Reel seat.

90H Deep Diver Minnow & Heavy Jig

The Akilas H-Series combines a powerful blank, with an extra fast action. They are ideal for fishing deep-crank and minnow plugs, or soft lures with jig heads up to approx. 45 grams. In order to assure accurate and long distance casting these rods are designed with a sensitive tip and a powerful butt section. This combination works very well for trolling and for bottom jigging with medium to heavy jig heads. The Gamakatsu Akilas rods come with a protective hard case.

The Akilas Extra Heavy blanks are strong and powerful, making them the perfect tools for fishing heavier lures such as the 6 inch BBZ-1 Swimbaits, heavy wobblers and medium to large soft baits. Now available in a compact travel version. Ideal for storing in the car or taking on a dream trip to a far destination. Akilas Mobile rods come with a protective hard case and are easy to put into your travel case.
