Major Craft Crosride 5G Shore Jigging Rods

The 5G is a New Manufacturing method adopting the "R360 Structure". The carbon fiber orientation is arranged toward all axis directions:

• Straight – Vertical
• Side – Horizontal
• Fade - Diagonal Right
• Draw - Diagonal Left

The arrangement of Carbon fibers in all directions created an ultra-lightweight blank, that combines power and torque. Unlike the conventional carbon tape reinforcement on the blank’s surface, the blank itself is composed of carbon sheets, laid in the multi-axis directions. It is a blank structure that can respond to any force applied in a 360 degrees angle, hence it helps the rod’s blank section adopt to the situation. 

For the development of the 5G rods, Major Craft utilized the T1100G carbon sheets by Toray Industries. The T1100G is a nano-level carbon fiber material, that achieves both high strength and high elasticity modulus. It is a latest technology carbon material, used in the field of aerospace or in aircraft applications (such as the tail of planes and floor beams of Boeing 777s), where extreme performance is required. The difference between the T1100G Torayca® material and other composite materials is that when compared (Load vs Strain), they both behave identically until the maximum load, after which the T1100G resin shows a significant increase in energy absorption, offering 13% higher-strength and 10% higher-elasticity.

Shore Jigging is a fishing style, that addresses hard fighting fish, which under no circumstances should take the upper hand in a fight. The Major Craft Crosride 5G rods represent a new breed of rods, with an unprecedented emphasis on strength and torque. The R360 structure is the result of a careful study of the pulling power distribution on each part of the rod: tip, middle and butt section. At the same time lightness has become very important for Shore Jigging anglers, as casts and jerks are repeated all day long. The Shore Jigging LSJ models are addressing the needs of Light Shore Jigging enthusiasts with Medium Casting Weight in the range between 30 and 40 gr. The ML models specialize in 10 to 30g jigs, that dominate the Super Light Shore Jigging category, targeting Mackerel.

The M rod models cover the area of Light Shore Jigging with jigs weighing around 40 gr, but can also work Blade Vibs and Heavy Minnows. It features a powerful butt that can handle a tough battle with a yellowtail.

The MH Crosride model is a full-scale shore jigging rod, that will cover most terrains, from harbors to rocky shores. The ideal Casting range lays in the area of 60 gr jigs. Compatible with Blade Vibrations, Minnows and Sinking Pencils. It features a flexible tip that can be used with a small Pencils.

The H series will allow the angler to enter the full scale of Shore Jigging techniques from rocky shores. It features butt power that does not allow fighting prey to take the upper hand, but the same time can be handled as easily as the MH range. These are full-scale, all-round models that can handle any lure, from jigs to diving pencils.

Finally the HH rods have been developed for Power Game and cover the needs of anglers fighting Amberjacks and migratory fish from rocky shores. Its tip is sensitive, but strong enough to hook up hard to penetrate jaws of large species. The butt power is also there. With the HH rods you can not go half hearted into rocky shore games. This is an all-in rod, with great strength, but smooth operability.
