Abu Garcia Salty Stage Shore Skid Jigs

The Salty Stage Shore Skid Jig is a Japanese origin, metal jig, for in-shore jigging enthusiasts. Its motion was inspired by a squid's darting and attacking action. The Shore Skid is the end result of innovative thinking in its design process, that in the end offers flexibility in its fishing style.

The Abu Garcia Salty Stage Shore Skid jig has been designed to work equally well, both horizontally and vertically. As a result this is a versatile jig that can be casted from the Shore, but also jigged from a boat. It performs very well in Slow Jigging for species like Snapper, Yellow Tail, Bonito and Kingfish.

Its shape and size are all about creating a ‘switch back’ effect, aiming to resemble the natural motion of a squid that is hunting bait fish. The Shore Skid, as its name implies, produces a skidding motion, that in turn produces a tremendous amount of sparkle and flash, likely to attract predators from quite some distance. Skidding from side to side, also mimics the action of a squid that is panicked under the threat of a predator.

During descent, the Salty Stage Shore Skid jig has a fall & shake action. When it falls, it moves like a pendulum. This innovative motion is achieved by the keel shape on the bottom of the jig. It is a completely new style of jigging. While the typical metal jig catches fish after it touches the bottom, or during retrieve the Abu Garcia Skid Jig is designed to catch fish even when it is falling by its 'switch back' action, imitating squid attacking bait fish.

They are rigged with a set of Assist Hooks, with long assist line, tinsels and reflective foil.
