When fishing in saltwater environments, there’s plenty to think about – but one thing you don’t need to worry about is your reel, thanks to the innovations of Savage Gear’s, new SGS6 spinning reel.
Savage Gear, after a long and very successful period in the field of artificial baits and rods, moved into the field of reel manufacturing. Such a move might have seemed daunting to any other company, but not to Savage Gear, which decided to build fishing gear from scratch. For this purpose, it did not turn to one of the many factories that manufacture fishing reels, but developed its own, internal R&D department, which is the most tangible commitment of the company for great accomplishments to come.
Built with a strong and lightweight Aluminium Body and a Carbon Reinforced Composite rotor, the Savage Gear SGS6 Spinning reel has been designed to deliver top performance time and time again.
The Savage Gear SGS6 reel features 6+1 sealed steel ball bearings, a high-performance carbon drag system and the proprietary Dura Grease – all of which combine to help make Heavy Spinning, or Light Shore Jigging reel saltwater resistant, so you can rely on it every time.
Thanks to the Dynamic Line Management technology, the angler will enjoy the benefits of excellent line management, even in side wind conditions and avoid coils and wind knots. However the advantages do not end here. Every angler knows that "fast" reels lack in strength. It is here that Savage Gear's technology Torqueshift2 System technology comes into play, which supports the reel and dramatically increases its torque, despite the high gear ratio.
Maintenance after fishing is very important, if you want your spinning reel to perform for many years in the harsh saltwater environment. The Savage Gear SGS6 reels contain Dura Grease. This is Savege Gear’s unique, proprietary grease, developed especially for Savage Gear reels, that protects the gearing from corrosion and wear. The grease is steam resistant, water and saltwater resistant and operates between -30˚C to 160˚C, which should cover just about any fishing situation on planet Earth. It’s also biodegradable. With Dura Grease, the Savage Gear reels will perform at their best for longer.
Size 6000 of the Savage Gear SGS6 reel series is the ideal combination with the SGS2 Shore Jigging 30-100 gr and SGS6 Shore Jigging 30-100 gr rods. Size 8000 can be combined with the Shore Jigging SGS6 3.05 m / 60-150 gr rod and also with the respective model of the series SGS2. Reel size 4000 has been developed for spinning reels.
