The Hot's Slow Style Conker is one of the best and most effective Japanese Slow Pitch, or Slow Style jig available anywhere in the world. It has a very wide profile, almost like a flying saucer.
The shape on top is symmetrical, with an assymetrical off-set bottom. The Hot's Slow Style Conker is a centre-weighted jig and is most effective fished Long Fall on the Drop due to it's wide profile, which gives it a fluttering leaf action in the water. The Hot's Conker is equally effective when targeting demersal species, game fish, or reef species.
From advanced to beginner, anyone can work this jig. Just drop it and let it work its own magic. The sliding / spiral action drives fish crazy, as it is simulating an injured, or scared baitfish. When (or if!) it gets to the bottom, just lift the rod again and then drop the tip down and let it drift and slide. It is allowing the jig to do this that will entice the fish to bite.
Keep an eye on your line when it is 'sliding' as fish will regularly hit the jig, or pick it up at this point. If it stays slack, wind and strike.
