Daiwa Lateo Seabass Rods

The highest standard in Seabass rod building, has evolved even further. The new Daiwa Lateo rods, have been redesigned and refined in terms of lightness, sensitivity, and operability.

The scientific name for Sea Bass is “Lateolabrax Japonicus”. Skillful Japanese anglers, who live in coastal areas, rivers and harbors, never lose the excitement of a tough battle with a Seabass. In order to continue being the ultimate point of reference in Seabass fishing and proudly carry the generic name, the Daiwa Lateo rod has undergone a series of improvements.

Everything from the blank, the guides and reel seat has been renewed and the Lateo rods now possess a lightness and a clear sensitivity, that can only be comparable to high-end models. Furthermore, in order to fully exploit the tough Sea bass game, casting accuracy and lure operability have been greatly improved.

The Daiwa Lateo has been equipped with a high-strength HVF Nanoplus blank, an X-45 structure that is resistant to torsion and a lightweight and highly sensitive blank that will redefine the essence of the Sea bass game. Daiwa uses HVF Nano Plus Blank for the Lateo rods, to achieve the ideal balance between lightness and strength. In addition, power loss is eliminated by the X45 X Carbon Wrapping around the entire blank, but especially in the outermost layers of the blank. The rod supports the angler with its tenacity.

Like the high-end model of Morethan, the Daiwa Lateo uses a high-strength carbon, air sensor reel seat, for improved lightness, sensitivity and operability.

The guides are stainless steel, SiC guides, K type for less thread entanglement.

Daiwa also adopted a marking system, in the point where the two sections join. This makes it easy to align the sections even in the dark.

Daiwa did not neglect the luxurious appearance of the rod and adopted a three-dimensional name, part of the overall premium appearance.
