The Okuma Flite Surf reel, has been designed for professional long casting performance and extremely light weight. Okuma tags it as a Long Casting, Long Lasting reel for Surf Casting enthusiasts.

Equipped with C-40X body and rotor, ultra-lightweight spool, screw-in handle and aluminum spool shaft for ultra-lightweight.

To reduce wear and tear on fishing lines, Okuma designed an one-piece bail and a roller with a special DLC coating. HPB bearings have been utilized to achieve long-term, corrosion resistance.

Heavy Duty, One Piece Solid Aluminum Bail Wire - The one-piece bail is a seamless design, that reduces friction on the bail, allowing unobstructed line entry into the roller.

Even Flow Roller System με Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) Coating – Even Flow Roller System With DLC Coating - The EFR II with DLC coating greatly reduces line friction, allowing the fishing line to run more smoothly over this smooth surface, prolonging the life of the fishing line and the prevention of line twist.

Carbonite Drag System - Okuma's All New "Carbonite" drag system, features a newly-developed, carbon-based drag material, which displaces heat and friction consistently and steadily, even under the harshest of fishing conditions. Used in conjunction with a small amount of specially-formulated Okuma drag grease, the Carbonite drag system, allows for a much wider and smoother drag range, all while maintaining exceptional performance and pure fish- stopping power.

Flite Drive™ - In standard reels, when the main shaft is moved up and down, a large area of friction is generated with the inner hole of the pinion gear, which causes you to feel resistance when turning. To reduce drag and achieve the lightness of rotation, Okuma hollowed out the center of the pinion gear, to reduce friction with the shaft. This change helps create a zero inertia start up and an incredibly light feel when turning the handle.
