After two years of testing, both in fresh and saltwater, DUO has designed its flagship surface lure for large predators. The Fangstick 150 is the ultimate heavy duty pencil; a top-water beast which will make your big lures arsenal get bigger. The DUO Fangstick is 150mm in size and weighs 40 grams. It is made for the toughest battles. Its varnish layers are thick, its split rings and treble hooks are fit for monsters and its body bears a wire-through construction that makes the eyelets simply unbreakable. DUO has designed the SW (Saltwater Limited Edition) with exceptional colors, that mimics all prey fish that lurk on the surface in Mediterranean waters and has also added some great reaction bait colors.

In the back chamber of the DUO Fangstick, four metallic balls have been placed, that help us achieve a truly long cast and emit loud, rattling sounds with every twitch. This lure with its massive bulk, displaces loads of water in every movement and in combination with its heavy rattling sound, will not go unnoticed. If there is a large predator in wider the area, it will be spotted without fail.

The mission of the DUO Fangstick 150 SW is simple: First attract the monster in the area, then make it strike. Secondly land it safely and win the battle with it.

Work it gently and progressively for a wider WtD movement, faster for a nervous, close WtD, or pop it hardly so as to make it dive and resurface instantly. Even novice anglers can operate the lure for a smooth dog walking action and accompanying splash. No matter how you choose to work this lure, it will respond as easily as a small top water pencil. It reacts so smoothly and it simply won’t tire even the most novice of anglers. To work the DUO Fangstick, we will need a Heavy Spinning rod, a braid starting at 1.5 PE and leader that exceeds 0.40mm. Its long casting abilities will allow us reach and target the largest Bluefish, Jacks, Mahi-mahi, but also massive Barracudas and the biggest of Seabasses. We can even rig it with a wire leader and be sure that its WtD qualities will not be affected. Here we can tackle the sharpest jaws and win extreme battles.
