The Evolures Ballybird is easy to use and after it is casted at a long distance, its 44gr slide on the surface, making it’s handling easy to not-so-experienced anglers. Its design has incorporated life like details, like the impression of natural scale, the 3D eyes and the side fins, along with the selection of popular in the Mediterranean sea, colors.
Its shape is not considered slim and not round either. Its shape is oval, resembling the keel of a boat, a feature that helps the lure stay afloat, even in rough weather conditions. The extra volume of the belly, also produces flashes that can be visible from predators underneath.
It’s top water motion mimics that of a wounded fish fleeing from a predator, by performing continuous changes in its direction, from left to right and so forth. Another feature that this unique lure possesses is the ability to easily change direction, or speed and work with pauses between retrieves, giving to the angler the option to apply different styles, with one lure.
One of its unique design characteristics lays on the tail of the Ballybird 200. The closest it gets to the end, the thinner it becomes. The reason behind this design, is to create a trail as it skids on the surface of the sea, performing a Walk the Dog action. It also helps the lure balance its posture while in the air and reduce abrasion.
At a distance of 4 cm from the end of the tail, there is a protrusion of the belly. In this exact spot Evolures has inserted spheres that help the lure maintain its balance and produce the action it has been designed for. But when we allow the lure to rest, it stays in a vertical position with only its mouth protruding from the surface. With the first Twitch the Ballybird explodes like a stickbait.
Evolures rigged the BallyBird with BKK Fang 63 treble hooks and strengthened its body with a wire that goes through its body.
If you are a surface, Walk-the-Dog enthusiast, targeting big prey such as Leerfish, Dorado, Bluefish, Bonitos and Tunas.
