BKK Harpax Darting LRF Jig Heads

The BKK Micro Jighead Series has been developed to target small fish, on light tackle. Specifically designed for Rock fishing, it includes three jig head models, featuring different head shapes, for three different swimming patterns: Harpax Darting LRF, Prisma Darting LRF and Punch LRF. Not only is this series designed to cater to saltwater inshore Rock fishing, but it can find application also in Light Spinning for Perch, Zander, Trout, Chub and small Carp.

Harpax Darting LRF features a moderate darting action and its head shape makes it suitable to be used in heavy current. The BKK Harpax Darting is an aggressive jig head that invites you to a speedy reaction game. Simply jerk your rod rapidly and stop, then again, and again.

The Harpax Darting jig head incorporates an egg shape and flat sides construction. BKK developed the Harpax Darting jig heads exclusively for Rock Fishing, so one can easily feel the prey, better than any other jighead. Hence, even beginners can perceive any discomfort at the end of their line. The head leans forward, creating an imbalance that works to our favor, as the silicone lure drops quickly and sharply towards the bottom. At the same time the tip of the hook, never touches the bottom, avoiding snags.

The shank of the hook is of medium length, making it possible for the silicone’s operating area to expand and its action to change. The medium sized shank leaves the longest part of the worm exposed. This widens the movement and increases the appeal of the lure.

The shape of the lead is a little bulky. This feature, in addition to the inclined head causes the biggest part of the lead surface area to be exposed to the water column, maximizing water resistance. By doing this, the pull resistance is increased and it is easy to manipulate the lightweight jig head. This resistance also contributes to making it easier to feel the sitting bite, during a tension fall.

The Bright Tin coating protects the inner structure of the hook from saltwater corrosion and provides extra glare in the water column when jigging.
