Stella SW brings unmatched strength, reliability, and ease of use to serious saltwater anglers. The reel has been improved on many points: it is even stronger, more durable and more powerful. The Stella SW is built to be very strong and powerful, making it possible to fish, big salt water species with spinning tackle. The range includes many different sizes and gear ratio’s for many different techniques and purposes.

Featuring a Hagane body, Stella SW boasts a highly rigid metal construction. This means improved impact resistance and less body flex. At the heart of the reel, state of the art Hagane Gears are cold forged for lasting durability and smoothness. Infinity Drive technology has been introduced to complement the existing X-Ship system and offers an improved light and powerful winding experience. This development removes any contact the inner part of the pinion gear has with the main shaft, optimizing winding torque by 26%. Silent Drive further improves smoothness by eliminating worm shaft and drive gear play. An all new Shimano Heatsink Drag improves performance by transferring heat away from the spool, reducing spool surface temperature by up to 100 degrees. X-Protect rubber gaskets have been incorporated into the line roller, making this mechanism ten times more durable than the previous model and X-Shield ensure your investment is guarded from the harsh elements of a saltwater environment so you can fish with confidence.

X-Shield

 By providing dependable sealing structures and gaskets at necessary points throughout the reel, X-Shield is able to block water intrusion. This protection provides high reliability and durability when Stella SW is used in extreme fishing conditions.

Hagane Body

The Hagane Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body stiffness and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing. The result transforms the angler's actions directly into cranking power.

Hagane Gear

With amazing strength and durability, the Hagane Gear is at the very heart of the reel. Shimano through the application of state of the art technologies, gives you the long lasting smoothness and pleasure that you feel when you first use a reel, over and over again.

SA-RB

SA-RB Bearings have been through the same process as Shimano's A-RB bearings, but feature shields on both sides of the bearings that reduce the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting the bearing's rotation.

One Piece Bail

 The onepiece bail wire has no gap for line to snag on during normal operation. Made of Stainless Steel, it reduces friction and allows the line to get onto the line roller quicker.

Silent Drive

Removed ‘clicking’ sound and ‘handle play’ and overall improved smooth reeling.

Infinity Drive

Αn advanced structure that produces lower friction and lighter winding. Pinion gear is supported by the spool shaft instead of the pinion gear bearing on the spool side. Rotational resistance of the gear section has been reduced without compromising gear strength.

XProtect

The contact type triplelip structure is introduced to the roller clutch, the pivotal point concerning water resistance. In this structure, the first lip prevents water from entering through the space between the rotor and the body. In addition, the special grease between the second and third lip where it makes contact with the rotor collar located at the upper part of the roller clutch not only resists water from entering but also minimizes friction resistance. Without jeopardizing the ‘silky smooth rotation capacity’, the vital feature of STELLA SW, exceptional water resistance, has been achieved to withstand the crashing and splashing of waves and spray.

AR-C Spool

 A patented spool design with a V-shape spool lip means line peels off the reel in smaller loops, resulting in longer and more accurate casts. The AR-C spool also minimises the risk of backlash.

Heatsink Drag

Heatsink Drag is a revolutionary structure, to prevent the drag force reduction, due to accumulated heat. The ''Heatsink Panel'' located at the bottom of the spool, dissipates heat generated by drag friction. In addition, the "Heat-Insulating Sheet" has succeeded in reducing the temperature rise in the winding area.
